GPA Recommendation
3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average recommended. All undergraduate and graduate coursework, whether included in the GPA calculation from your degree-granting institution or not, will be considered when determining the cumulative GPA for admission to this program.

Letters of Recommendation
Enter the full contact information and email address for at least two recommenders. Recommenders should be either academic or professional references.
Once entered, your recommenders will receive an email from Agnes Scott College Admission (admission@dos5.net). Letters of recommendation must be submitted directly by your recommenders. Personal references or letters submitted by the applicant will not be considered.
Statement of Purpose
Prospective graduate students applying to the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling must submit a statement of purpose, approximately 1,000 words, that discusses:
- your career goals,
- an example of an impactful helping relationship in a professional setting, and
- the meaning of equity and diversity to your professional and personal life.
Professional Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Your resume or CV can include relevant employment history, internships, and/or volunteer work. If enrolled in the program, your resume or CV will be shared with our graduate career coaches and the program clinical coordinator. Upload to your online application before or after you submit the application.
Transcript(s)
Transcripts are required from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended, whether you completed a degree at that institution or not, with one showing completion of a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution.
Submit official or copies of official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate coursework. Transcripts should be from a regionally accredited college or university within the United States. We do not require high school transcripts.
Recommendation: Upload copies of transcripts directly to your application portal after submission or send them electronically to gradadmission@dos5.net.
If it is not possible to send copies or official transcripts electronically, mail them to the address below. Mailed documents will delay application processing.

- If transcripts are from a non-U.S. institution, an official Evaluation of Foreign Credentials is required along with copies of transcripts.
- All applicants that attended a non-U.S. institution must be able to document their degree as being equivalent to that of a four-year bachelor’s degree awarded by an accredited United States college or university. Applicants must have their foreign credentials evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (naces.org). The evaluation must include: course by course description, documenting equivalence to a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree (or the number of years toward completion and grade point average).

The English language proficiency requirement at Agnes Scott can be met through one of the following ways:

- You have earned a bachelor’s or master's degree from a U.S. institution of higher education
- You have submitted satisfactory scores as noted below for Duolingo, TOEFL or IELTS. Scores are only valid within 2 years from the test. Copies of score reports can be submitted to your application portal after application submission for application review. Official score reports should be sent by the testing organization to gradadmission@dos5.net.
- Duolingo English Test (DET)- Recommended minimum score is 110
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)- Recommended minimum score is 6.5
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)- Recommended minimum score of 80
All international graduate applicants are required to submit the International Graduate Student Certification of Finances (COF) form for admission consideration. This form is needed to obtain complete and accurate information about the funds available to international applicants who want to study at Agnes Scott.

Admitted international graduate applicants might be required to submit an updated International Graduate Certification of Finances form within six months of the beginning of their first semester.
